Saint-Augustin Canada Electric Inc. (STACE) acquires Newberry Springs solar CPV power plant

Saint-Augustin, Canada, May 3rd 2017 – Normand Lord, STACE’s President & CEO, is proud to announce the acquisition of Soitec’s Concentrated Photovoltaic (CPV) power plant located in Newberry Springs, California by STACE.

The site comprises 60 trackers of 28kW for a total installed capacity of 1.68MW. The power plant has been producing electricity for Southern California Edison since 2013.

This acquisition fits into STACE’s strategy to increase its presence in the solar industry. It provides an amazing window for customers who want to see the CPV modules manufactured by STACE under operation. STACE CPV technology is recognized as the most reliable and advanced technology in the CPV market.

According to Normand, “this acquisition provides STACE an opportunity to show to our customers and prospects that our technology is efficient, reliable and bankable.”
