Telescopic Disconnect Switch

Using Stace’s telescopic disconnect switch, instead of manually removing bus duct sections, allows operators to reduce the shutdown time required for generator inspection and repair work. The switch is able to isolate the generator in approximately ten seconds.

These highly reliable switches were specifically designed for high current applications. Telescopic disconnect switches, located on the bus ducts between the generator and the step-up transformer, allow quick and easy isolation of the generator.

These switches have been tested to withstand 12,000 cycles between major maintenance (testing done in a vertical position). The switch is designed to be installed vertically, horizontally or any position in between.

This switch has been designed for reliable operation featuring redundant positioning mechanisms, precise guiding systems and spring-loaded contact fingers for reliable contact between the mobile and fixed components.

This switch can be installed indoors or outdoors.
